The goal of this Mid-Century renovation and addition was to create a better building envelope, opening up the existing floor plan and adding a master suite. SIPS panels were added to the
roof structure to add insulation while the wall cavities were filled with new insulation and sealed. Slate flooring and a dropped in family room with a built in walnut lounge sofa/bookcase highlight the newly opened space. Master suite is connected to the main living area by a long hallway to give isolation when desired. Overall, capturing the sense of it's roots, the slate floors, vaulted wood ceilings and large glass expanses….. making the Eames chair once again feel at home.
